Elders and Environment Forum

The second Elders and the Environment Forum sponsored by the Association of Suzuki Elders takes place on Thursday, November 24th, 2011 from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm in the Alice MacKay Room at the Central Branch of the Vancouver Public Library.

The forum explores the question “What can I do?” with the response “Start Where You Are.”  The forum starts with a keynote address by CBC Radio’s Terry O’Reilly (The Age of Persuasion). This is followed by smaller discussion groups including a session focused on the Greenest City Action Plan facilitated by Amanda Pitre-Hayes, the Director of Sustainability at the City of Vancouver.  David Suzuki will close the forum with a keynote address on the topic “Standing on Elder Ground.”
