Prepare a City-wide Urban Forest Management Plan

The second Access to Nature target is to plan 150,000 trees by 2020.  That is a lot of trees.  To guide the planting of all of these trees, we’ll need a plan.

3.666668

Develop an Urban Forest Management Plan, as recommended by the Greenest City Action Team, which will include updating and incorporating existing tree management plans and regulations of trees on private property and a series of actions to realize the planting of 150,000 new trees.

The Urban Forest Management Plan would also include options for ecological diversity, such as under-storey plantings, wildlife corridors, and wildlife habitat.
